What is better than hearing from God? What He says can be very uncomfortable, when we are face-to-face with His law. Other times we are in heaven, face-to-face with Christ crucified, the glory of God. Our congregation studies the Scripture in adult Bible Study classes taught by the pastor and in Sunday School classes for youth led by other church members. We study the books, themes, topics and content of the Bible. Example adult Bible Study topics include: the Gospel of John, the history of Lutheranism in America, the nature of vocation, how to apply law and gospel, the Epistle to the Romans, the history of the Reformation, and the theology of the cross. Sunday School classes emphasis the development of Biblical literacy, enthusiastic singing of Lutheran hymns, and familiarity with Luther’s Small Catechism.
